Full Game Recap: Thunder vs Spurs | Double Overtime Thriller

The Spurs defeated the Thunder 154-147 tonight in double overtime. The Spurs shot 16-19 (84.2%) from 3-point range, an NBA record for 3-point field goal percentage in a game with at least 15 made threes. The previous record was held by the LA Clippers, who shot 18-23 (78.3%) earlier this season vs. Golden State on Dec. 23.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored a career-high 56 points (20-33 FG, 16-16 FT) to go with 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocked shots for the Spurs. Aldridge is the first Spur player with 50 points in a game since Tony Parker on Nov. 5, 2008 vs. Minnesota (55).

Russell Westbrook recorded his 12th triple-double of the season (24 points, 13 rebounds and a career-high 24 assists). The 24 assists ties the most in a triple-double in NBA history, also done by Isiah Thomas on Feb. 7, 1985 at Washington and Rajon Rondo on Oct. 29, 2010 vs. New York.

With the win, Gregg Popovich has secured his 1,222nd career win, passing Jerry Sloan for 3rd on the all-time coaching wins list.
