Martavis Bryant made a brief appearance for the Raiders on Friday in their victory over the Lions. With the first team only appearing in the first quarter it was hard to grade his performance.
Fantasy Reaction: Bryant is a great candidate for a breakout year. This new setting may allow him to blossom into a solid fantasy option. Watch how the Raiders use him in the remaining preseason games.
The newly signed Richard Sherman could make his 49ers debut in their next preseason game. He has been dealing with a hamstring issue, but is said to have already bounced back from the achilles injury that ended his season with the Seahawks last year.
Fantasy Reaction: Sherman is a great addition to the 49ers defense and leadership could help make them a top defense in the league again.
Josh Allen made his pro debut for the Bills on Thursday and completed 9-of-19 passes for 116 yards and one touchdown. Allen flashed his great arm strength with a a 14 yard touchdown pass to Ray-Ray McCloud.
Fantasy Reaction: Allen showed that he can play at the NFL level, but definitely has some work to do to become an elite starter. Look for the Bills to take their time and let him develop. He could be a fantasy option later on in the season.
49ers TE George Kittle separated his shoulder in the teams win over Dallas on Thursday and will be sidelined until week one of the season.
Fantasy Reaction: Kittle receives considerable playing time, but is really only useful in larger fantasy leagues. Since he should be back week one, there really is no change in how owners use him.
Teddy Bridgewater was 7-of-8 passing for 85 yards and had one touchdown in his Jets debut. This marked the most extensive outing since he has come back from a major injury.
Fantasy Reaction: Bridgewater is in a battle for the starting QB role with Sam Darnold and Josh McCown and still remains a long shot be the starter.
