Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season brings another opportunity to build a FanDuel DFS lineup around high-volume running backs, explosive wide receivers and value plays. This lineup takes a balanced approach, spending heavily at running back while using several mid-priced options to create upside across the roster.
The lineup features Brock Purdy at quarterback, Ashton Jeanty and Bijan Robinson at running back, Mike Evans, Antonio Williams and Rome Odunze at wide receiver, Eli Raridon at tight end, Nico Collins at FLEX and the New York Jets defense.
With only $200 remaining, this is essentially a full-salary construction designed to maximize the available FanDuel budget.
QB: Brock Purdy, $8,100
Brock Purdy starts the lineup at quarterback in a matchup against Miami. The choice fits the overall strategy because Purdy gives the roster exposure to a San Francisco passing attack that could produce multiple fantasy-relevant players.
Purdy also comes with an important correlation play later in the lineup with Mike Evans, although the stronger game-environment angle is simply getting exposure to the Miami-San Francisco matchup.
Purdy’s Week 2 outlook has received significant attention. DraftKings’ current Week 2 model has him third among quarterbacks with a 24.7-point projection on its scoring system. That does not directly translate to FanDuel scoring, but it reinforces the expectation of a potentially productive fantasy performance.
RB: Ashton Jeanty, $7,700
Ashton Jeanty is one of the lineup’s key upside plays.
The second-year Raiders running back gets a matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, and his combination of rushing and receiving work gives him multiple paths to fantasy production.
FanDuel DFS scoring makes touchdowns particularly important, so a running back capable of accumulating both volume and scoring opportunities is valuable. Current Week 2 rankings from 4for4 have Jeanty ninth among running backs with a 15.6-point projection.
At $7,700, the goal is for Jeanty to deliver a strong all-around performance rather than simply relying on one big play.
RB: Bijan Robinson, $8,900
Bijan Robinson is the centerpiece of this FanDuel lineup.
The $8,900 salary represents a major investment, but Robinson has the workload and receiving ability to justify spending near the top of the position. He faces Carolina, and current FanDuel-format rankings from 4for4 place him second among running backs with a 20.8-point projection.
This is exactly the type of player DFS players can build around. Robinson does not need a huge number of carries if he is also involved in the passing game and finds the end zone.
Having both Robinson and Jeanty gives this lineup considerable running-back exposure while allowing the remaining positions to focus on value and upside.
WR: Mike Evans, $8,200
Mike Evans provides another high-ceiling option at wide receiver.
At $8,200, Evans is being used as a premium receiver without consuming the massive salary required for the most expensive players at the position. The matchup against San Francisco also creates an interesting game-environment angle.
The key for Evans is touchdown potential. His ability to turn a relatively modest target total into a big DFS score through touchdowns makes him particularly interesting in FanDuel contests.
WR: Antonio Williams, $5,400
Antonio Williams is one of the lineup’s salary-saving selections.
At $5,400, Williams allows the roster to maintain its investment in Robinson, Jeanty, Evans and Collins. The objective with a player in this salary range is to outperform his price through volume, efficiency or a touchdown.
Value plays are particularly important in this lineup because there is very little salary left over. If Williams produces a solid fantasy total, the expensive players have more room to carry the lineup.
WR: Rome Odunze, $6,300
Rome Odunze adds another mid-priced receiver with big-play potential.
The matchup with Minnesota gives him an opportunity to contribute in a game where Chicago could need to throw. Current Week 2 FanDuel rankings have Odunze outside the top group of receivers, which helps explain why he can be used as a lower-cost alternative to the premium wideouts.
The key is upside. Odunze does not need to match the raw production of the most expensive receivers if he produces a touchdown or a few explosive plays.
TE: Eli Raridon, $4,300
Eli Raridon is the lineup’s biggest value play at tight end.
At $4,300, the strategy is straightforward: save salary and hope for enough involvement to provide a useful FanDuel score.
Tight end can be a difficult position to predict outside of the elite options, so paying down here allows significantly more spending on the running backs and FLEX.
FLEX: Nico Collins, $7,800
Nico Collins may be one of the most important pieces of this lineup.
At $7,800, he provides a premium receiving option in the FLEX while still coming in below the most expensive wide receivers. Current Week 2 FanDuel-format rankings have Collins seventh among receivers with a 14.2-point projection.
Using Collins at FLEX also gives the lineup considerable flexibility. If he posts a strong receiving performance, the roster gets elite production without needing another expensive running back.
DST: New York Jets, $3,100
The Jets defense completes the lineup at $3,100.
Rather than spending heavily on defense, this build puts the majority of its salary into offensive players. That is consistent with the overall roster strategy.
The defense’s biggest DFS opportunities generally come from sacks, turnovers, defensive touchdowns and limiting points, so the Jets will need to provide enough splash plays to make the relatively modest salary worthwhile.
Overall FanDuel DFS Strategy
The central idea behind this lineup is spending aggressively on running-back volume while creating upside at wide receiver.
Robinson and Jeanty form the expensive running-back foundation. Evans and Collins provide two established receiving options, while Purdy, Odunze and the value plays fill out the rest of the roster.
The lineup also has a strong tournament-oriented construction. It is not simply trying to accumulate average production at every position. Instead, it relies on several players having ceiling performances while the lower-priced players provide enough value to keep the roster competitive.
The biggest variables to monitor before lineup lock are injuries, inactive players, weather and any late changes to expected workloads. Week 2 rankings can change throughout the week as new information becomes available.
With just $200 remaining, this FanDuel lineup is built around a clear concept: pay for elite running-back production, target receivers with touchdown and yardage upside, and use value at tight end and defense to make the salary work.
