NFL Week 3 2026 FanDuel DFS Lineup Breakdown

NFL Week 3 features another full Sunday main slate, and this FanDuel lineup takes a balanced approach to the $60,000 salary cap. The roster combines several high-priced players with mid-range options and a few salary-saving selections, while also creating some correlation between the quarterback and wide receiver positions.

The lineup uses Brock Purdy ($8,200) at quarterback, Kenneth Walker III ($8,300) and Bucky Irving ($7,600) at running back, Deebo Samuel Sr. ($6,500), CeeDee Lamb ($8,600) and Xavier Worthy ($6,000) at wide receiver, Noah Fant ($4,600) at tight end, Breece Hall ($7,100) at FLEX and the New York Jets ($3,100) at defense.

The salaries total exactly $60,000, leaving no salary unused.

Quarterback: Brock Purdy, $8,200

Purdy is the centerpiece of the San Francisco portion of this lineup.

The 49ers host the Arizona Cardinals in the Sunday afternoon window, and Purdy comes into Week 3 with a FanDuel salary of $8,200. Current KJPI projections have him at 23.1 FanDuel points, while 4for4’s Week 3 rankings place him third among quarterbacks with a projection of 20.8 fantasy points.

The matchup also creates an obvious stacking opportunity with Deebo Samuel.

For DFS purposes, the appeal is straightforward. If San Francisco’s passing game produces multiple touchdowns, Purdy and Samuel can benefit from the same offensive production.

Running Back: Kenneth Walker III, $8,300

Walker is the most expensive running back on the roster, but his salary reflects the considerable projection attached to him.

KJPI currently projects Walker for 22.9 FanDuel points, placing him at the top of its Week 3 FanDuel projection list.

That makes Walker a major component of the lineup’s ceiling.

The strategy here is to spend significant salary on a running back who can accumulate fantasy points through rushing volume while also providing touchdown upside. At $8,300, the expectation is that Walker needs a substantial workload to justify the investment, but his projection gives the selection a clear statistical foundation.

Running Back: Bucky Irving, $7,600

Irving gives the lineup another high-volume running back without moving all the way into the top salary tier.

The Buccaneers face Minnesota in the late-afternoon window, and Irving provides exposure to that game while keeping the roster construction relatively balanced.

Recent fantasy analysis has highlighted Irving’s workload and red-zone involvement as important parts of his fantasy profile.

Pairing Irving with Walker also creates an interesting roster construction. Instead of using a minimum-priced running back to afford expensive receivers everywhere, this lineup commits substantial salary to the position.

Wide Receiver: Deebo Samuel Sr., $6,500

Samuel is one of the most strategically important players in the lineup because he is paired with Purdy.

At $6,500, Samuel isn’t priced like a premium receiver, but he provides a direct connection to the 49ers quarterback.

Current Week 3 projection models differ somewhat on Samuel’s expected production, but one matchup model has him around 11.4 PPR points against Arizona, while another has him at 12.8.

The important DFS concept is correlation. If Purdy throws a touchdown to Samuel, both players can benefit from the same scoring event.

Wide Receiver: CeeDee Lamb, $8,600

Lamb is the most expensive wide receiver on this roster and one of its primary ceiling plays.

He faces Baltimore, and current KJPI projections put Lamb at 18.7 FanDuel points.

Lamb also enters Week 3 following a huge Week 2 performance. FOX Sports reports that Lamb scored 31.3 FanDuel points in Week 2, second among wide receivers on that slate.

That makes Lamb a particularly interesting piece of this roster because the lineup is paying for both volume and big-play potential.

Wide Receiver: Xavier Worthy, $6,000

Worthy is the lineup’s other value-oriented wide receiver.

The $6,000 salary gives the roster access to Kansas City’s passing game without requiring a premium investment. Worthy’s biggest fantasy appeal comes from his explosive-play ability, which is especially useful on FanDuel, where touchdowns carry significant weight.

Current Week 3 projection models have Worthy in roughly the 9-12 point range depending on scoring and methodology.

At $6,000, a touchdown or a couple of explosive receptions could significantly change his fantasy value.

Tight End: Noah Fant, $4,600

Fant is the primary salary-saving play at tight end.

At $4,600, the lineup avoids spending $6,000-plus on one of the premium tight ends. That savings helps make the Walker, Irving and Lamb combination possible.

The risk with this type of roster construction is obvious: Fant needs enough targets and/or a touchdown to keep pace with more expensive tight ends. But the upside is that a productive game from a $4,600 tight end can make the entire salary structure work.

FLEX: Breece Hall, $7,100

Hall gives the lineup another running back with significant workload potential.

Using Hall at FLEX means this roster starts three running backs, making rushing production a major component of the overall strategy.

Current 4for4 FanDuel projections have Hall at 14.2 fantasy points for Week 3.

The FLEX designation also gives the lineup some versatility. Hall can contribute through both rushing and receiving, giving him multiple paths to fantasy production.

Defense: New York Jets, $3,100

The Jets defense costs $3,100, which is a modest investment compared with the very top-priced defenses.

The defensive strategy is largely about finding enough sacks, turnovers and other high-value plays to justify the salary while preserving money for offensive players.

This lineup doesn’t need the Jets to be the highest-scoring defense on the slate. It needs a respectable performance while the expensive offensive pieces provide the bulk of the fantasy production.

Overall Lineup Strategy

The biggest characteristic of this FanDuel build is balance.

Rather than using one or two extremely cheap players to pay for multiple superstars, the lineup distributes the salary across the roster. Walker, Irving, Lamb and Hall all receive substantial investments, while Worthy and Fant provide the necessary salary relief.

The Purdy-Samuel combination is the lineup’s clearest correlation, while Lamb supplies a separate premium receiver with substantial target and touchdown potential.

The Week 3 schedule has these games spread throughout Sunday’s slate, including Arizona-San Francisco, Minnesota-Tampa Bay, Kansas City-Miami, New York-New York Detroit and Baltimore-Dallas.

Ultimately, this roster is built around several players who can produce through different statistical paths. Purdy and Samuel can score together, Walker and Hall provide running-back volume, Lamb supplies premium receiving upside, and Worthy and Fant help make the $60,000 salary cap work.

For a FanDuel tournament lineup, the construction provides plenty of opportunities for multiple players to exceed their salaries at the same time, which is the central idea behind the roster.
